That time has come
In 2003, I started writing this blog primarily because I thought I was leaving Hawaii in 2004 and I wanted to capture the moments with my Ohana and my life here on Oahu. However, 'Life' had other plans for me and I stayed on and lived a wonderful next three years on this rock.
On May 3rd, 2007 at 10:45am, my life took a turn abruptly. Situation and circumstances led me through humility, faith, hope, and belief that God was going to have to do something to sustain me so I can continue on with my destiny. It has been a rough month, and through this time, I have learned so much, I cant even begin to tell you how much for it would take me months to share what I learned in these last 30 days.
Some of you who have been following my blog have been praying for me. Thank you for your prayers. I received the favor I needed and now have confirmed that my life is heading into a different direction. I am excited and thrilled to know that it is going to be yet another phase and another chapter in my biography. I am only saddened that this means I have to leave my Ohana and MY HAWAII
I don't have much time left, infact I only have 10 days to unwind, pack, and move to a new location. I have so much to do and so much to bear emotionally. My heart aches as it misses all THIS! But it is anxious, forward looking and excited to know that the next chapter HAS JUST UNFOLDED, and the first page is being filled up.

DEEP SEA FISHING
I went deep sea fishing this last Sunday. It was one hell of a time and the first time I have ever done anything like it. I woke up at 3 15am to drive out to Wainaie and we set sail at 05:30am At first we set out 20 miles out to catch some big fish. We had 7 rods on the trolling boat, but it was a very unlucky time for us. After 3 hours we decided to go further out, about 40-50 miles even further to a point called the Pinacle point off the west side of Oahu. Apparently some fish were caught there the day before. So after another 4 hours of trolling, and no luck, we decided to call it quits and head back to shore. 11 hours was one hell of a boat ride and a tiring journey. I can only imagine what it was like in the ancient days of sailing (especially without a motor on your boat) how long it would take to get from one place to another.Heading out from the shore with the sun just emerging beyond the mountains
First glimpse of the sun appearing behind the mountains
This new camera is awesome. To capture a picture like this while speeding at 12 knots and on bumpy waves, this was a great shot of a bird right on the ocean.
Where the birds are, so are the fish

Looks like we had company, a formation of Chinook military helicopters, not sure where they came from but they were pretty close

Pulling the boat off the docks
Waianae boat club, what a relief to be back on land. I think I was sea sick by the end of 11 hours. We washed the boat and headed back home.
